Getting to Know Your County Commissioner

1. When were you first elected/appointed?

I was elected in November 2022.

 

2. Where were you born and raised?

Originally from West Michigan, I moved to Minnehaha County in 2008.

 

3. What kinds of schooling have you received?

I attended Covenant Christian High School and Grand Valley State University.

 

4. Besides being on the Minnehaha County Commission, what has been your work experience?

When we moved to South Dakota I became a full time homemaker and home educator for our 3 kids while they were in elementary and middle school. In 2017 I joined the financial aid team at the University of Sioux Falls.

 

5. What boards have you served on?

I have served as the Wall Lake Township Treasurer for five years.
