Commissioner Dean Karsky

Commissioner Karsky has served on the Minnehaha County Commission since January 2017. He received an Associate’s degree from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor’s degree from Troy State University, and graduate studies at the University of South Dakota. Commissioner Karsky is the owner of an insurance and financial services agency.

Commissioner Karsky is an active member in the community, having served on various boards including the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Past President of the Sioux Falls Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Character Counts, SME Executive Board, Sioux Metro Growth Alliance Board of Directors, The Link Board of Directors, and St. Michael’s Parish Council.
